This Privacy Policy explains how ScreenFlip (“we”, “us”) handles information in connection with the ScreenFlip macOS application and the website at www.screenflip.app.

The ScreenFlip app collects nothing

The ScreenFlip application runs entirely on your Mac. It does not collect personal data and does not include analytics or telemetry. Its only network activity is checking our server for a new version (automatic updates), which sends no personal information. The optional “Report a Problem” menu item opens a pre-filled message in your own email app — nothing is sent unless you choose to send it. Reading and changing your display orientation happens locally; nothing about your usage leaves your device.

What the website collects

When you purchase or browse www.screenflip.app, limited data is processed:

• Payment information. Purchases are processed by Stripe. Your card details are entered directly with Stripe and are never seen or stored by us. We receive your email address and a record of your purchase so we can deliver your download and provide support.
• Usage analytics. We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand aggregate site traffic. It is privacy-friendly, does not use cookies, and does not identify you personally.
• Download delivery. After purchase we generate a temporary, signed download link so you can securely download the app.

How we use this information

• To process your payment and deliver your purchase.
• To provide customer support and handle refund requests.
• To understand and improve how the website performs.

Third parties we rely on

• Stripe — payment processing. See Stripe's privacy policy.
• Vercel — website hosting and privacy-friendly analytics.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with anyone for marketing purposes.

Data retention

Purchase records are retained as required for accounting, tax, and support purposes. You may request deletion of your personal data (subject to legal retention requirements) by contacting us.
